YouTube Title Extractor

Paste a video URL and pull its exact title, ready to copy in one click

Fetching the video page…
Fetches the public video page server-side and reads its embedded title, nothing is stored.

About this tool

This tool fetches a YouTube video's public page and reads its title straight out of the page's own metadata (the same tag YouTube uses so the video shows up correctly when shared on social media). That makes it reliable for the exact, current title, including emoji, punctuation, and special characters, without needing the YouTube API or a sign-in.

How to use it

  1. Copy a YouTube video's URL from your browser's address bar or the Share button.
  2. Paste it into the box above and click Extract title.
  3. Copy the result with one click once it appears.

Tips: both full youtube.com/watch?v=… links and short youtu.be/… links work. If a video is private, age-restricted, or removed, the public page won't contain a usable title and the tool will tell you plainly rather than guessing.

Does this work on any YouTube video?

It works on any public video URL. Private, unlisted-but-restricted, age-gated, or deleted videos may not expose a usable title on their public page, in which case the tool reports that clearly instead of showing a blank or wrong result.

Do I need a YouTube account or API key?

No. This reads the same public metadata YouTube publishes for link previews, so no login, API key, or quota is involved.

Is my search or the video stored anywhere?

No, the URL you paste is used only to fetch that one page and extract the title; nothing is saved or logged for later use.

Why did it fail on a URL that opens fine in my browser?

YouTube's page format can change or vary, and very restricted videos sometimes render differently to automated requests than to a signed-in browser. If extraction fails, double-check the link is a standard watch or youtu.be link and try again.
