Paste a video URL and pull every #hashtag from its description, ready to reuse
This fetches a YouTube video's public description and scans the decoded text for hashtags — a # immediately followed by letters, digits, or underscores with no spaces. It's useful for seeing exactly which tags a competitor or a video you liked used, or for pulling your own tags back out of an old description to reuse on a new upload.
Tips: only hashtags that appear in the description are picked up — YouTube also lets creators add hashtags that only show above the title, which live in a different part of the page and aren't covered here. If a video's description simply doesn't contain any #tag text, that's shown plainly rather than an empty grid.
Any # immediately followed by one or more letters, digits, or underscores, with no space in between — the same shape YouTube itself treats as a clickable hashtag.
This tool scans the description text specifically. Some creators add hashtags that YouTube displays above the video title but that don't also appear in the description body — those aren't picked up by a description scan.
Yes — if the same hashtag appears more than once in the description, it's only listed and copied once.
Yes, hashtags are listed in the order they first appear in the description, so the copied list matches the original sequence.
