Check a site for WordPress signatures and guess its theme and plugins from visible file paths
WordPress sites commonly reveal themselves through predictable file paths in their HTML — /wp-content/, /wp-includes/, theme folders under /wp-content/themes/<name>/, and plugin folders under /wp-content/plugins/<name>/. This tool fetches the page's HTML once, then scans it client-side for those patterns to make a best-effort guess at whether it's WordPress, which theme it's running, and which plugins are active.
How to use it:
Tips: a site can rename or proxy its asset paths to hide that it runs WordPress, and some setups serve theme/plugin assets from a CDN with no revealing path at all — a "no signatures" result doesn't guarantee the platform isn't WordPress, only that this particular clue wasn't visible.
It's a best-effort guess based on which theme folder name appears most often across the page's asset references. If there's a clear tie between two theme names, or no theme path is found at all, it says "Theme could not be determined" rather than guessing wrong.
Plugin folders follow the same /wp-content/plugins/<name>/ pattern as themes but there can be many active at once, so up to 10 distinct plugin slugs found in the page are listed rather than trying to pick just one.
The page is fetched once through our server so your browser doesn't hit cross-origin restrictions. All of the actual WordPress signature analysis then runs in your browser against that HTML — no separate analysis request is made.
