Find the likely hosting provider behind a domain, inferred from its server's IP address
There's no single official database that maps a domain to "who hosts it" — so this tool infers it the same way a technical investigator would: it resolves the domain to its server's IP address via DNS, then geolocates that IP to see which ISP or organization it belongs to. A hosting provider's IP address block almost always geolocates back to that provider's own name (e.g. "Cloudflare, Inc", "Amazon.com, Inc.", "OVH SAS"), which is a strong signal — but it is an inference, not a certified fact.
How to use:
Tips: sites behind a CDN or reverse proxy (like Cloudflare) will show the CDN as the "hosting provider" here, since that's what the public-facing IP actually belongs to — the origin server behind it isn't visible from DNS alone.
If a site uses Cloudflare (or another CDN/proxy) in front of its origin server, the domain's public IP belongs to Cloudflare — the true origin server is hidden behind it and isn't visible from a DNS lookup.
Very accurate for identifying the network operator of the IP (ISP/organization), since that comes directly from IP allocation data — but it's an inference about hosting, not an official record of a business relationship.
IP geolocation is based on network registration data and can point to a provider's regional data center or headquarters rather than the exact physical server location.
It works for any domain with a public A record. Domains that don't resolve, or resolve only to private/internal addresses, won't return a meaningful result.
