Text Editor

Change case, add fonts and emojis, count words and clean up text, all in one place.

Applies bold, italic and other styles using special Unicode characters, so the result can be pasted anywhere (social bios, chats, titles) without losing its look. Select part of your text to style only that part; with nothing selected, everything is styled. Use Clear formatting to go back to plain text.

Pick a font for the selected text, or for everything if nothing is selected. Fancy fonts are special Unicode characters, so they stay when pasted into bios, chats and captions. They work on English letters and numbers. Use Clear formatting in the Format tab to go back to plain text.

Click an emoji to add it at the cursor, or to replace the selected text.

One editor to style, fix and count your text

Paste or type into the box and the numbers move as you go: words, characters with and without spaces, sentences and paragraphs, plus reading and speaking time and a readability score. A character-limit preset lets you pick a platform and watch the remaining count instead of doing the arithmetic yourself.

Change case with one click (UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case and more), or add emphasis with the Format and Fonts tabs: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, script, Fraktur and other styles that paste cleanly into bios, chats and titles. Everything applies to the part you select, or to the whole text when nothing is selected, and one button takes it back to plain text.

Need to tidy up? Cleanup removes stray spaces, line breaks and duplicate lines, Find & replace shows how many matches there are and highlights them before you replace, and the Emojis tab drops emojis in at the cursor. Keyword density shows which words you lean on most.

Good to know

Your text isn't sent anywhere, it's edited and counted right in your browser. If a school or publisher counts words differently (some skip headings or the bibliography), paste only the part they count.
