Trace the full redirect path of any URL, hop by hop, to its final destination
Redirects quietly add latency, can leak link equity between hops, and sometimes chain further than anyone intended after years of migrations. This tool requests the URL you enter, follows every redirect the server sends back, and lays out the exact path taken, from the URL you typed, through each intermediate hop, to the final page and its HTTP status code.
How to use it:
Tips: a chain of 3+ hops is usually worth flattening to a single redirect for speed and SEO; watch especially for http → https → www → non-www chains stacked on top of each other, which is a common accidental pattern after a domain migration.
The www Redirect Checker only compares four fixed variants of one domain (http/https × www/non-www). This tool follows the real redirect chain of any URL you give it, however many hops and whatever the cause, protocol changes, domain moves, URL shorteners, trailing slashes, and so on.
Any URL the server responded to with a 3xx status and a Location header pointing elsewhere. Each one is shown as a numbered step, ending at the final URL that actually returned content.
That means the URL you entered returned its content directly, with no 3xx redirect responses along the way.
The target site may be down, blocking automated requests, or the URL may be malformed. The error message shown comes directly from the check itself.
