Drop your discs and line up four in a row, across, up and down, or diagonally. In Score mode the game keeps going until the board is full, so every four you make counts. Play the computer or a friend, on boards up to 13×9.
In Score mode nobody is knocked out by a single four-in-a-row: the game keeps going until every hole is filled, each new four scores a point, and the highest score wins, perfect on the big boards, where one game can produce dozens of fours. Quick mode is the classic rule where the first four wins. The computer is a real game-tree search engine running in a background thread, so the board always stays smooth; its five intelligence levels range from a relaxed Beginner to a Genius that looks many moves ahead.
Every time a disc completes a new line of four of your colour, you score a point, and a single disc can complete several lines at once. A line of five contains two different fours, so it scores twice. When the board is full, the higher score wins.
Classic 7×6 is the traditional board. Larger boards (9×7 up to 13×9, or any custom size) leave room for many more fours, longer games and bigger comebacks. Small 6×5 is great for quick games or younger players.
Press New game (or New setup…) and choose “With a friend”. You take turns on the same screen, and you can type both players' names so the scoreboard shows who is winning.
